Past Project: Pricing for Profitability Training Tool
The Brief: Create a simple tool trainee Buyers can use to calculate SRP's and margins based on a combination of readily available data elements. Limit Buyers from engaging in pricing that does not meet profitability objectives while allowing Buyer the autonomy and tools to evaluate deals and offers presented to them. Tool must also correctly calculate a appropriately rounded SRP, using a set of built-in pricing rules.
The Deliverable: The Margin Tool allowed trainee Buyers to exercise autonomy in evaluation of opportunities presented to them while maintaining pricing and profitability objectives. Additionally the tool reinforced training on the relationship between the elements of cost, retail, and margins, to the Buyer.
Past Project: Sku Rationalization, National Co-Operative Grocers Association, Prepared Foods Teams
The Brief: Execute a SKU rationalization on 7,000+ individual prepared foods item skus from freestanding data entities across the country into a unified set of skus all entities could use, while also allowing a small set of "open" skus for teams to exercise creativity.
The Deliverable: Recipe and item descriptions were de-granularized and reorganized into a 1500 item schema organized into Families, Categories and Classes of items and recipes, including an "Experimental" set of skus who's sales could be monitored to identify and share new local rising-star items nationwide.
Past Project: Simple to Operate 4 Week Print-ready Cycle Menu for Multiple Service Level Enterprise
The Brief: Create a tool that will allow for simple management and publication of the 4 week cyclical menu in a multi-service level Senior Living Center.
The Deliverable: A compact and efficient excel workbook that populates the breakfast, lunch and dinner options of the daily, weekly and monthly menus within the 4 week cyclical menu, into a print-ready display. Operator simply needs to update two data field to cascade a week's worth of menu data into the workbook, driven by a series of formulas. Significantly reduced menu maintenance, printing and distribution task execution time.
